I have a greatest hits CD, and had the pleasure of seeing them live at the Bumbershoot Festival in Seattle back in the early 90's. First discovered them back in junior high, in 1981, when they guested on Molly Hatchet's "Take No Prisoners" album. They subsequently appeared with said band live on the King Biscuit Flower Hour in 1982, at a show in L.A.'s Palladium Theater, which was released as a CD just a few years ago.

12. I have known Steve "The Funky Doctor" Kupka since a Berkeley HS P.E. class/1963.

"Doc" is a wonderful, sweet, actually shy, amazing songwriter, musician and survivor.

The band created an identity for the greater "East Bay" that reflected the energy and diversity of the times.

The tunes still resonate and stir up emotions in people throughout the SF Bay Area.
