4. The question is rather which networks I WOULD be caught dead watching
Alas, there are very few:

The Weather Channel
Turner Classic Movies
History International

Those are the three I miss since canceling cable nearly two years ago. (I'm not counting HBO and Showtime, which often have really good stuff on them but are not on basic cable. Besides, all their programs come out on DVD rather soon after broadcast.)

12. The Walmart Network. Or Faux News for that matter too.
I'd rather watch S4C Digidol or TF1 or even Univision than those two "channels", even though I don't understand Welsh, French or Spanish.

26. It's in the stores... and it's usually commercials all the time, every time.
I think in-store TV is tacky and adds zero value to the shopping experience.

Yes, I shop Walmart. Shoot me. What else is open at 2am?

30. I won't shoot you.
I have always lived in a large city and never near a Walmart. The only times when I have gone into a Walmart was when I was driving through someplace. I was driving through one of the midwest rural states (possibly Nebraska) and went to a Walmart. I didn't like the produce or the meat. I thought it was ironic that here I was in the middle of a rural area and the food sucked.
I feel bad for folks who have no place but Walmart to shop.

20. I used to watch the God Squad once in a while.
The Rev. Dr. Gene Scott was the intellectual televangelist, just as William F Buckley was the intellectual conservative. Gene Scott had a PhD from Stanford. He showed it on the tube. It was a smaller than average diploma. He would also write stuff from the New Testament on a blackboard, in Greek no less. When the viewers didn't send in enough money, he would just sit in front of the camera, saying nothing and doing nothing.

Once I watched a couple that looked like Jim and Tammy, but it wasn't them. Their mission was to root out the Satanic messages from some Rock music. They were playing a phonograph record backwards and discussing what they thought they had heard on it. The messages were there, but they were unintelligible. Was it "Satan rules" or "Satan is Lord"? What was really funny about this show is that the televangelists were dead serious about it.

31. Most of them i.e. QVC, TBN, Fox News, Lifetime, LOGO, CSPAN
Edited on Sat Jul-18-09 08:49 AM by annonymous
The only cable channels I watch are TNT, USA, Discovery, ESPN, Animal Planet, SciFi, A&E, Disney, Weather Channel and History. I don't have much use for most cable channels especially the religeous ones (CBN, TBN), the shopping channels and the single issue ones such as The Golf Channel. I have sattelite TV and I have no idea how many channels I am paying for.
