Wow. I learned it years ago, but have forgotten most of it, as no one I've worked for in the past 20 or so years uses it.

He usually does it while standing at my desk. I type them. But I just took one in his office. I can't read my writing.

my attornies tend to type their own stuff up and just give it to me to put on letterhead or to format correctly. I don't like anyone standing over me - makes me a nervous wreck and I've let them know that too.:scared:
my baymate gets tapes to transcribe (which is also old school these days (at least here in L.A.)). her boss dictates his email replies(really!) and she types them up, then pastes them into an email and sends them to him to forward on..... and some of them are literally one or two sentences (why can't he reply himself???) I would've quit the first day if I was asked to do that. It drives ME nuts to see HER doing it. talk about a waste of time.... and needless double/triple work.... :argh:
