"I'll have to have the doctor call you"
I've been waiting for some test results for more than a week (it's a re-do of a test that came back abnormal 3 months ago). Yesterday I called, I was put on hold so she could find my file, and then I got "I'll have to have the doctor call you"

Um..... this is a little scary.

2. hugs, prayers and good vibes for you.
It makes me angry that you called them yesterday and after being told that, the Dr. still hasn't called you back. Our Dr. always used to call between patients or at the end of the day.

I understand your anxiety. I'm going through my own tests, some done, some yet to be done. I won't find out until the end of the month. It'll be a long two weeks.

4. If it was that important they probably would have already called
The nurse/receptionist probably was just checking that they came in, but I agree waiting is hard. I called yesterday for some test results and still haven't heard back.

5. Hopefully it's just the privacy issues they're having to deal with
good vibes for you anyway, though.

6. Sending you good vibes, MissMillie.
For what it's worth, I've never had anyone but a doctor give me even normal test results.

7. People in the medical profession can be so insensitive sometimes.
(not all people, not all the time)

I am sorry for your worries, and hope it's all good news. ((((hug))))

11. My dear MissMillie!
Ah, sweetie...

I hope they get back to you very quickly!

I'm so sorry they're being this insensitive...

I think they forget what it's like being on this side of that check-in window...

Good vibes to you!

13. Don't worry. That's happened to me before.
I some offices, nurses or desk people aren't allowed to reveal anything to a patient until the doctor has. They're not trying to torture you, though it may feel like it! Even if the test came out normal, they couldn't tell you that.
