4. Delta is the only airline that has ever lost my luggage. They even did it |
|

when they took our carry-on away from us one time. Now I know what happened!
On edit: the carry-on luggage took 4 days to catch up with us and be delivered to our home.

6. "I'm going to Seattle, but I'd like this bag to go to Denver and this one to Miami" |
|
"I'm sorry, sir, we can't do that."
"You did it yesterday."
Old Gallagher bit that still cracks me up.

7. I was sure I was going to |
|
It arrived on the flight that came in right after mine. They assured me it would make it, but of course all I could think about was every horror story I had heard.

8. Had one disappear between Houston & home on my way back from London |
|
I know the bag made it to Houston because I had to claim it, walk it through Customs & re-check it. All of the tags were on it--ID tags, baggage tags, even the "Samsonite" labels. Waited & waited & waited at the baggage carrousel but it never showed up. Went to make a report, described it, told if they found it, they'd send it to me. Shortly after I arrived home, the airline called me & said my bag was found in a deserted hallway with no tags. Got a speech about putting tags & such on my luggage. :eyes: Asked why, if I had no tags at all on my bag, did their agent check my bag in???? :grr: When they showed up with my luggage, every single tag, including the Samsonite labels AND the ID labels on the inside had been removed. :nuke:
Still haven't figured that out, because I had *nothing* in my checked-luggage but dirty clothes, & nothing was missing.

9. Yeah. Once they found it and delivered it to my home. The second time, they wouldn't |
|
even call me: I had to call the airport day after day to find out whether it had showed up, then I had to drive out to get it
