I am curious, do Canadians have a problem at the border going to

the US? I just need to rant, my son-in-law, who is American, and had no problems before crossing the border, was stopped last weekend and was told that he spent more time in Canada as opposed to Seattle. He explained that his wife (Canadian) is in the process of submitting the application to sponsor him. The Canadian border guard told my son-in-law that he should be happy that he is being granted weekend visits.

My daughter (who is his wife) had to go to Seattle on Friday morning taking all the papers that they were legally married along with the application to sponsor him. Luckily for them, they met up with a nicer Canadian border guard who said, the former border guard was wrong, so he rescinded the details and gave my son-in-law a paper stating that he works in Seattle and is married to a Canadian. It all ended well, thank goodness!

Anybody have any similar stories. We on this side of the border was so upset!

Edited for grammer ... were instead of was
