My cats literally walked all over me this morning at 5;30 am |
|
back n forth back and forth..And not jumping like they could do. Nor walking above me nor around me. Its amazing how a twelve pound cat feels like a ton of bricks. Ugh. I can't believe I don't have paw shaped bruises all over me....:banghead: This is a new tactic in the waking mommy up game...

1. Ayup. My cats are experts at this. |
|
However, one has developed a new technique that is even more effective. She approaches me and uses her whiskers to tickle my nose until I wake up. This technique, which she developed on her own, uses less energy on her part, so is superior to the walking back and forth technique. She is now teaching this new skill to the stupid Maine Coon cat...a slow and tedious process.

though mine's 16 pounds with a motorboat purr. She'll sit inches from my head and start purring away. x(

9. Mine is 7 lbs, sits ON my head, and sounds like a freight train. I don't know |
|
how such a small cat can make so much noise! (And when she meows, you know all about it from teh other end of the house.)

I could enter her into a snoring contest & she'd win.

5. Have they tried hooking one razor sharp claw in your nostril yet? |
|
That usually comes after the walking and chin biting. Get ready...

7. I believe the claw thing is a last resort, used only |
|
when milder forms of waking you up to feed them don't work.
I, for one, welcome our feline overlords from outer space.

|
They just don't care as long as you feed them. Yet, anyway.

8. Owwiee. And you KNOW it's on purpose, too. |
|
If you lock them out of the room they just bang on the door and meow for hours. They do NOT give up, the stubborn little beasties.

and the entire weight of the cat is concentrated on the four paws so it's like being hit by 4 hammers.
