Air America.............How is it doing?
I don't do podcast or listen via computer so I lost track of Air America.

Air America saved my life 5 years ago when all we had in Philly was 24/7 rightwing-nut talk radio and still do. Air America was the reason I got XM radio (I don't listen to music). But now Air America seem to be 100% gone from Sirius XM Satellite Radio. At one time Air America had its own channel, then it was America left "POWERED" by Air America.........Now nothing. The closest Air America Affiliate is in NY which I can't get. So how is Air America doing? I must say their line-up look real weak now days :(

http://airamerica.com/schedule

Monday-Friday

5A-6A “The Rachel Maddow Show”

6A-9A “The Lionel Show”

9A-12N “Montel Across America”

12N-3P “Live from Washington with Jack Rice”

3P-6P “Montel Across America”

6P-9P “The Ron Reagan Show”

9P-11P “Clout! with Richard Greene”

11P-1A "Nicole Sandler"

Thanks Air America for saving my life back in the dark days

2. Have you tried asking
in one of the other forums? The Lounge isn't exactly activist central. :hi:

6. Libruls can't do radio
We're way too thoughtful. We see both sides then make an informed decision. BOR-RING.

3. Let's see - Air America gave us Sen. Al Franken and Rachel Maddow.
One is a US Senator and the other has a well-rated primetime show on MSNBC.

Looks like they're doing pretty well.

4. Looking at their line-up, I would have to rephrase your comment to be:
"Looks like they were doing pretty well."

5. agree with that
6 hours of Montel?

and only 1 of 3 hours of Stephanie Miller?

my local affiliate is pretty good, but they are not using much of Air America and they are better for that:

6am - 9am Stephanie Miller
9am - 12pm Ed Schultz
12pm - 3pm Randi Rhodes
3pm - 4pm Rachel Maddow
4pm - 6pm Thom Hartmann
6pm - 8pm Angie Coiro (local)
8pm - 12am Mike Malloy
12am - 3am Alan Colmes
3am - 6am Bill Press

7. That was pretty much ours here until the end of last year, when Dan Snyder,
(Yes, TZ's Dan Snyder) shut the station down. They did have Thom Hartmann on at 3pm, but replaced him with Lionel. :puke:

We have a new Air America station now, but it has the line-up shown in Lynne's post. I now listen to NPR, which helps keep my blood pressure down.

7-10 - Morning Edition
10-12 - Diane Reem
12-2 - Kojo Nnamdi (I really enjoy his show, though it is geared for local politics and activities in the DC area)

9. I agree with you about AA and Lionel
:puke: :puke: :puke:

The new Washington DC Air America is a travesty. Ron Reagan is the best of them.
