3. A complete and total stranger to the daughter (however the mother
may or may not know the man)and says to the girl "You do realize that your Mother is very good-looking."

Just that song "Stacys Mom" my attempt at levity

In reality, It sounds a little wierd. 20 years into a friendship, It might make sense in trying to reassure someone that they are not in fact so old/decayed as they might be tempted to feel. Or in a totaly tactless person, it might mean anything from "I want your mom" to "you know, your mom is old, and still hot, so chances are good that you will also age well and might therefore be an acceptable mate for myself based on this completely venal concept of beauty" to "my mouth moves and words come out, but I have no control over it in any way whatsoever".
