Seattle DUers: ever eat a Beth's 12-egg omelet? |
|
I was channel surfing and the Travel channel had a feature on Beth's cafe in Seattle, home to the 12-egg omelet! Holy crap, that's one big omelet? Any DUers ever eat one? Just looking at it I could tell my heart was about to explode in my chest. The Travel channel showed one kid eating the whole damn thing all by himself.

3. Oh, I've been to Beths lots of times, - and |
|
my brother, Mike, has eaten 2 12-egg omelettes at a sitting. Of course, he's 6'7" and a big dude.

I had a wonderful 5-egg omelet with Italian sausage and Mozzarella cheese at a place called the La Grande in Reno, and that was too much!

5. I've always loved the late, lamented Twin Teepees, which were close by |
|
And it breaks my heart to even drive by Beth's now. I do know lots of bands that have eaten them. Hey, here's a newsflash for Whitacre_D_WI (surely someone will let him know) - the Sonics used to eat these 12-egg omelettes. Frankly, that's just way too much food at one sitting, and I really like eggs, but ... bleah ... :puke:

11. Hm. 12 egg omelette sounds mighty delicious. |
|
And if eating them will make my music as great as the Sonics' Etiquette releases, then I'm THERE!
Of course, if I eat too many of them, I may end up making crap like the Sonics' Jerden stuff. The horror!

.. it would probably kill me. I do have to check Beth's out.. perhaps a 3-egg omelette might be just as good, yet unlethal.

9. When I make scrambled eggs... |

I usually use 9 eggs and shredded colby and monterey jack cheese.
(My cholesterol is a little below normal, BTW.)

10. I've asked and been told |

They're usually made for a group to share, not an individual in one sitting.
Hurricane Cafe has the same deal.
