2. Yes! I'm very excited about it... |
|
I thought "The Fashion Show" - Bravo's attempt at a replacement - was lame. Really looking forward to PR.

5. I will be watching, but I have to find the new channel it's on... |
|
I do graphic arts consulting/services for the garment/entertainment industries. I know Jeffrey Sebelia (the designer with the tattooed neck and all), one of the P-Run winners from a coupla years back, having done some graphics/screen printing for him. He is exactly as he was on the show, personality-wise, and pretty easy to work with. The big thing in the garment biz is, he paid his bills, so he gets extra points from me! (Plus, I'm his "friend" on MySpace!)
I dig the show cuz I meet people like the designers on the show all of the time, therefore the show is often hilarious to me. Most of the designers I work with (I'll say 66.6%) are extremely lame when it comes to garment graphic design and application techniques, but probably ok "fashion" designers. Most of the rest are just lame, period. Very few are of the caliber of Jeffrey. He was also in a "signed" band back in the 90s (summation of that story: Band got Fucked by Label), and the music used during the final runway show of his winning collection was by his band. Like I said, he's a talented guy, I wish him all the best in the cutthroat world of "FASHION."
That said, I'll be watching, but the last year was a disappointment to me, I lost interest. Maybe the new network affiliation will revive the show.

9. Yes, in my experience, Jeffrey was professional... |
|
...very friendly, cooperative, and generally well organized (meaning he had a pretty good idea of what he wanted from me). When confronted with "issues" regarding his objectives, he was open to suggestion and willing to go with my advice. All of which, ultimately, streamlined the inevitable processes and saved him money, and me, time.
As for his interactions with the other designers on the show and its outcome, I would have objectively selected him as the winner, whether I knew him, or not. He was tough when he needed to be, but able to take negative criticism and learn from it. When he was accused of "cheating" (because he could not provide some receipts for allowable work done on his final collection), he maintained his cool (I would have been way more pissed at my accusers, had that happened to me), and modified his collection, to its detriment, to meet the rules requirements, and still easily had the best work for the win.

13. OK, and, keep in mind... |
|
...when they make these shows, they go outta their way to highlight any tensions and conflicts (or alliances) between the contestants. It's a playbook straight outta the world of professional wrestling and soap opera productions - it keeps the suckers, like me, coming back for more. It's amazing what a little editing can do!

I found it and set my DVR, in case I forget to watch tonight. I like to watch it later, anyway, so I can skip the commercials.

17. I was really annoyed with the whole move from Bravo to Lifetime |
|
They had a good audience at Bravo and it just seemed like greed that they made the move. And I've read where Lifetime is buggering with the format too. At this point I'll just skip it
