I'm not into stealing, but when you think about maybe taking it from a Paris Hilton or one of these other spoiled useless peoploids and giving it to someone who needs it, well it seems like a nice idea.
I used to love the Robin Hood story...

3. The real question is: Would you do it even if you weren't sure you'd get away with it? |

If the rich want to participate in & reap the benefits of society, they should be expected to bear the responsibility to maintain it it. But that doesn't mean their wealth should be taken from them without their permission. If they don't like paying taxes they should be free to move to a place where the taxes are lower.
Like Somalia.

13. Of course they exploit the middle and lower classes. |
|
But when elected representatives levy a tax on them it is, by definition, not stealing - in spite of RW propaganda to the contrary.

14. It's more accurate to say the government exploits the lower and middle classes |
|
The truly funny part is, the lower and middle classes (which make up the vast majority) are a willing participant in that exploitation, if not the driving force behind it. The truly sad part is, those behind the duplicity don't even have to devise clever tactics in order to make puppets out of the masses. The spew mindless shit like "trickle down" and that somehow compelling the uber wealthy to pay a share proportionate to their earnings (let alone progressively) means you're a socialist. The people of the US get exactly the government they deserve.

9. In my fantasy world... |
|
The rich would be taxed up to 50% of their income. Corporations would be taxed up to 30%. No loopholes!
That is just off the top of my head...give me some real numbers and maybe I can justify more.
