1. Looks good! Saw one a few weeks ago at the theater.
That was my favorite book as a small child, until I discovered Pippi Longstocking and Encyclopedia Brown.

But I always identify with the boy who escapes into wild imagination, and when it's over, is ready to go home.

2. I am going to get so "altered" and see that when it comes out

3. Was at a theater the other day and saw that
trailer and the one for Disney's Princess and the Frog (or maybe the Frog and the Princess??). There were many children in the audience, but saw very litte reaction from the kids to the Wild Things trailer and much more to the Princess and the Frog. I'm wondering if the kids (ages about 5 to 10) just aren't as familiar with Wild Things or if it's that the trailer isn't as interesting to them as the Disney (which had far more humor and action).

5. Isn't there another one around?
Looks more like the book?

Daughter and her class performed this, in primary school.

6. Maurice Selznick is very happy with the movie, which is a big relief.
My only qualm is that it doesn't look like a kids movie, but I am glad to see James Gandolfini working. He rocks my world.
