I lit a new candle, a white one in honor of Teddy.

It is quiet here, maybe that is good.

9. I went outside for awhile, to look at the stars.

This has been a rough week.

One thing did happen.

The county did raise our pay for working elections, $2 per hour.

I will get $10.50, the other workers $8.50.

This is good.

13. We also get paid for taking a two classes.

The days start real early, the polls open at 7 but we get there at about 5:45 to finish setting up.

I talked a friend into coming back to work the election, all is good.

I'm just hanging around reading a Carl Sagan book. I wish I would have discovered him sooner in life. Have you ever read anything by him or seen his documentaries?

I think later today I'm going to meet up with some fellow skeptics for brunch. I've been a member of an internet atheist and agnostic group for a while and they meet regularly, but I haven't gotten up the motivation to go visit with them yet. But I should. I need to get out and socialize.
