How can I get rid of these ANNOYING pop up windows!?

Ok, I have a pop up blocker on the version in Microshaft Internut Destroy that I'm using (I HATE IE, but it would be a beeyotch to switch to Nutscrape, since all my bookmarks are on IE, etc.) and it says POP UPS BLOCKED. But. Today, all the sudden, this crap is slipping through. Is this some kind of spyware or something?!?!

HELP! Before I smash my computer over a freepers hed!

1. Get the google toolbar

Comes with free pop-up blocker(and really handy). Also, get adaware or one of the similar software to clean up your cookies.

go get Spybot and run it to get rid of spyware.

then get Firefox of Mozilla. The bookmarks are very easy to import.

4. Switch to Opera for your Browser

THey have an option where you only get popups that you ask for (ie - like the Smilies lookup table here at DU it technically a popup)

6. 1. Disable Microsoft's Instant Messenger (whatever it's called)

I have heard that some creative spammers can send pop-ups that way, avoiding the browser and browser-based protections completely (if that's your problem, changing browsers won't help.)

2. Switch to Mozilla Firefox

9. As far as anti-spyware I like Spybot, PestPatrol and F-Prot

Type a bunch of the anti-spyware product names into Google and you'll get reviews and comparisons.

It would remove spyware, but you need to use it every so often.

10. Panicware Pop-Up Stopper

Use ad aware and spy bot to clean out your cookies then use Pop Up Stopper. Should take care of 'em.
