1. That daughter is going to be rich someday when she take's over the family business |
|
She'll have lots of money, can afford the best diets, spas and cosmetic surgery
And when that sugar momma is going to be looking for a lucky man to marry to throw on her billboard...
She's going to read what you just wrote and pass you right over

2. Because they are proud of their families |
|
Probably. And/or using them to sell products by portraying themselves as family men to show consumers where their money will go if they buy products from them. So its a mix of a marketing gimmick and family pride. Why do women date shallow men? That is one thing I can't figure out either.

3. Because it is a way to |
|
give them a tax-deductible salary, bennies, etc, as opposed to simply dipping into their already tax-paid net income to do the same thing. It even gives them social security credits. All of which is a way (and I'm sure you've already figured this out) of having us, the taxpayers, subsidize their spa treatments and other trappings of what they think of as "the good life" as opposed to paying it themselves. But you knew that ....

WTF does being fat or 'ugly' have to do with whether or not they should be on TV?
I for one think that a whole lot of people STARRING on TV are kinda fat and ugly. If they have a right to be on TV, why not the rest of us fat and ugly types?
For the record, I agree with you, if what you're saying is that putting your family on TV in your commercials makes you look like a tool. It does. I'm just not sure what fat or ugly has to do with it.
But then again, it is midnight, and I am tired. G'night. :hi:

13. What's with the car dealer commercials that star the fat, loud, obnoxious dealership owner? |
|
It seems that, in our area at least, once every decade we end up with some loudmouth shouting on TV and on the radio about their DEALS DEALS DEALS!!!!!!! First you never hear of them, and then suddenly they have so much money they can buy a ridiculous amount of air time and you can't escape them.
This decade's local loudmouth sells Kias and Hyundais. His catchphrase is "IT'S GONNA BE HUUUUUUUUUGE." :banghead:
And of course everybody in town has to imitate him. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
Interestingly enough, all of these idiots flame out pretty fast. So I'll just bide my time and wait for this one to go the way of the others...
