9. I thought I was the tool of white male oppressive patriarchy?

Where else am I going to find a job with sexually-aggressive experienced women, books by Tucker Max and grandiose delusions of figurehead power as fringe benefits?

A masterpiece of muscle car madness!

I've always wanted to fit one of those with an electric engine...

23. His was broke.
Ours drove wonderfully. I did add some performance springs to the front when I rebuilt the suspension, but otherwise the suspension was stock. The Cougar shared the chassis of the Mustang, and the Mustang did just fine in sports car and Trans Am racing.

That was the only car (that I know of, at least) that had that feature! My older sister had a boyfriend who had a cougar, and I had the biggest crush on him!!!

25. They were originally electro-mechanicaly controlled.
An electric motor with a little camshaft pressing switches. They would slow down with age. Hard as hell to keep working after a point. People make electronic replacements now, fortunately.

24. That is a 1968 Mercury Cougar with some non-stock additions.
The wheels are American 200S Daiseys. It has traction bars and re-arched rear springs. The trunk spoiler is from the 1969 Cougar Eliminator, there was no spoiler on 1968 Cougars. The badge on the front fender would suggest a GT-E, which this car is not. It could be simply a 6.0L badge denoting the optional 390ci engine. The hoodscoop is hard to see. I think it might be a 1969 Mustang/Torino scoop. The high-back seats wouls also be non-stock. In 1968, the seats did not have headrests unless optioned. The optional headrests were additive, nit integrated.

We just sold our 1968 Cougar.
