Murphy Lee has just surpassed Nelly and Jermaine Dupri as the worst rapper |
|
Listening to this rap station in the area, a Murphy Lee song came on and started off:
This is Murphy Lizzle, on a jazzy producshizzle. my nizzle.
I'm sorry, it's cool when snoop dogg says the "izzle" shit, but this is borderline Ireland how white that sounds. Is there something about being from St. Louis and sucking at rapping? (Nelly and Chingy should be sent to Gitmo for the WMDs they've released on an unsuspecting American public).

1. Well, MTV rap is basically |
|
a contest to see who can suck the hardest and sell out the fastest. Basically the way I judge how popular a new MTV rap song is is by how much it irritates the shit out of me and makes me want to vomit.
Thats how I knew "Milkshake" was going to be a hit. It annoyed the hell out of me.
I say "MTV rap" beccause there is some real hip hop that I really like and the crap they play on MTV doesn't even qualify as real music to me. Its the Cheez Whiz of music.

2. How does saying that make him the worst rapper? |
|
He's certainly not that good, but the worst rapper? Ha!

4. have you heard his other shit? |
|
my god, "wat da hook gon be" not only is a horrid title for a song, but the lyrics make even less sense than usual for the sell-out rappers "this is your durrty nelly talking 'bout my durrty murphy lee."

5. I heard his album once.. |
|
I actually burned the thing. Only listened to it once, it bored the hell outta me. He didnt seem any worse than most of the sub-par commercial rappers out there..there's a whole genre of these crappy no-talent rapping hacks, its hard to discern which ones are "the worst". In my eyes, though, Ja Rule is #1..

6. Ja Rule would be #1... if she were a rapper |
|
I mean he, HE. If Ja Rule rapped instead, of say, singing with Ashanti in sets out of Grease, yes I would agree.

8. If you really think that, I advise you to go |
|
directly to The Coup and their song, "Lazy Muthafucka." Immediately. It will change your attitude about HipHop.

i'll continue to use my cd collection to live in my early 90s-simulated biosphere, where r.e.m. , public enemy, u2, and nirvana are all the rage

Best hiphop artists extant. Boldly political and intelligent, with catchy sing-songiness and pungent flow....Not overly harsh musically like so much radio hiphop. Sample song title: "8 Million Ways to Kill a CEO."
They were the group whose album got banned after 9/11 cuz there was a picture of the WTC in flames on it (art was planned before attacks...)
