Furnace Creek 508 is this weekend

508 miles of biking through the Mojave in 48 hours. Damn but I wish I was there.

1. Me too. I almost got out there for their Badwater to Whitney Portal

run.
That's when it was nice and warm out there. But that's only a measly little 125 miles.
508? Wow. I'm up to 25 a day now. I don't know if I'll ever make it to 50 a day. Or a century?
I hope so.

2. Did the century last year

Going for the double next year, unless I can get a team togther for the 508

3. I had to work up to the Pasadena Marathon (bike) this year. But now

I'm up to 25 miles more than once a week. It's addictive.
I see they have 11 bikers over 60. Maybe I can make it out there yet.
And if I drop over out there, fine. At least I went doing something I wanted to do.
I think my lungs are real small, I seem not to be able to get enough air. Of course, this is Los Angeles, but the beachfront is cleaner air.
