Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari

All this talk of zombies made me think of one of the original "zombies", the somnambulist from "The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari", the German expressionist silent film. Granted, it probably won't scare anyone today, but it's still a cool film.

In a similar vein is the early-talkie German film by Fritz Lang Das Testament des Dr. Mabuse. Both movies have doctors either working for, or living in, an insane asylum and controlling others to do their bidding, almost zombie-style :D
