My dog is a ten year black German Shepherd. Is it unusual that he has no gray hair?

1. I did not know there was such a thing as a black GS - gorgeous!
Don't know about the gray hair thing; maybe he's sneaking some Just for Men when you're not around...

9. My ten year old mini-pin's face is all gray now.
What a pretty dog you have. It probably is a little weird that he isn't gray.

in 2007. I got him right after my Sara passed away. This was when I first got him, but still no gray. I asked the vet and they can tell by his teeth that he is 10 or near that age.
