Sounds like it is mostly in E Phrygian Dominant/A Harmonic minor...

4. Les Paul held Django in the greatest respect. Les was living in NYC
and Django came to visit him - they played and drank s few beers all day.
Django had the use of only 2 fingers on his left hand to make chords and notes, and Les had terrible arthritis in his hands in his later years. He used Django as his inspiration, and played a live show every week till a few months before his death this year at age 94.

Both were amazing lovers of the guitar.
