Does it seem right that The Beatles digitally remastered cds

are sold at 7-eleven?

Is nothing left sacred?

1. NO
I have a MONO LP of Sgt Peppers I bought in 1967 and I wouldn't part with it for their whole collection (most of which I already have.)

2. I had just about all Beatles albums on vinyl and either gave

them away, sold them, traded them for a bag of weed, whatever. While we're talking about things I could kick myself for, my best was the 1969 autographed Mets baseball that went down the storm drain on 108th st. in Queens. Thanks for reminding me. GO PHILLIES!!!

It's pretty well worn out.

3. Remember when there were actual record stores with booths for listening?
I can remember looking through the 45s to get one that had a picture sleeve. I think I have picture sleeves for all of the Beatles' singles. I even have a 45 of Ticket to Ride that says on the label "From the movie 'Eight Arms to Hold You'".

4. I remember starting a riot in 1964
I was 5. It was in the living room of our Brooklyn apartment. My mother came in and changed the channel The Wonderful World of Disney's "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" to something called The Beatles on Ed Sullivan. So I started a riot.

5. I was 11 that night. Can it really be nearly 46 years ago?
It changed my life and it's hard to believe that I have outlived 2 of The Beatles. My favorite from the time I saw them was Paul and I've enjoyed his music over the years. I know when he dies it will be tough to handle after so many years.

6. By thier third appearance on Ed Sullivan I was glued
in front of the television. John Lennon stepped up and laid down this fierce "Twist and Shout." I became a rock and roll fan that night. Consequently, I'm a Lennon guy, but feel much love for all 4.

8. The irony for me is that when I was in college in the early 70s I was told I looked like Lennon.
It was probably just the long hair and the round wire-rimmed glasses but I was told that often, even by perfect strangers. Imagine in '64 how some thought The Beatles would be just a fad (even they thought they would not last long). Also it is incredible that John, Paul, and George all being friends as teens and living in the same area would all become such world famous musicians, with and after The Beatles.

10. And didn't he say "and if we're on next week?"
I came back from the local movie house back when there were local movie houses to watch ed Sulivan...

I think I saw the one from Miami and both the New York shows. It's hard to remember what I saw when it broadcast and what I saw on tape or rather kinetic scope...

9. It's embarrassing that I idolize a group/ people as much as I
do The Beatles. I can't hear their music enough.

12. my 10 year old likes the Beatles and shops at 7-11
I think that says it all.

But she buys all her music from I-tunes?

CD's are old fashioned from her perspective

13. Minor complaint about the new Let It Be.
The original Apple releases all had a Granny Smith apple on the A side and a cut half of one on the B side. Except for Let It Be. That one record alone had a red apple. In the new releases, the CD has a Granny on the nonrecorded side including Let It Be. *wags finger*
