I never thought much of Hall & Oates until seeing them live in concert |
|
and I realize these guys put out some amazing tunes.
Mind you, their music is classified into 2 categories. First is the really soulful, melodic stuff they first put out in the mid-70s like "She's Gone, "Alone to Long" and "Sara Smile". The classics they played at the Spectrum were just out of the world! Then there are the pop-hits they made when MTV first started - like Private Eye and Maneater, which were nice catchy tunes but not as good as the classics.
What an amazing show - those 2 were some great musicians.

1. I saw them in the late 70's and they were amazing! |
|
I saw them in a small hockey arena at a local college and was in the front row. They had a killer band with them and sounded great.
You are right -- they are great musicians and write killer songs.

2. I have a great recording of that show, if you're interested in a copy. |
|
Actually, I have a great recording of the entire night, not just the Hall & Oates set.
