That is such a terrific show, so well-written and hard to predict (like most every other show is). When Dexter followed Trinity home....whoa! Never expected that!

1. I think Dexter needs to tell his wife what he does
They didn't cast Julie Benz for nothing.

2. I LOVE Dexter. He can never tell anyone. Look at what happened
with Jimmy Smits that season. I also was completely surprised at what transpired on the last show. I never saw that coming. It completely through off the profile. Wow - what great writing. I can't wait until the next show. I wonder if Trinity will be on the whole season.

3. I thnk Trinity is here for the season; that's the impression I got.
This should be pretty interesting. I imagine Dexter will be stalking Trinity, trying to figure out how and when he can grab him. He's also so fascinated by Trinity's being such a successful serial killer for all those years that he'll likely also be studying him and trying to figure it all out.

8. I agree
I think he'll be the subject of the rest of the season. Dex will follow him - study him - try and find some insight into himself. Maybe he'll figure how Trinity makes it work with his wife kids and use that tactic to make things work with Rita. :) Very twisted. I had no doubt it was Trinity who killed Lundy and since I refuse to watch the previews at the end of each ep (they give away wayyyy too much info) I get to be surprised as well. Great season so far, I just hate that Lundy had to die. Oh and great freak out/break down scene from Deb this ep. I know some people don't like her but I do and thought she finally put a human face on the whole thing. Can't wait til Sunday!

11. I'm another that doesn't watch the "coming distractions"
I like to be completely surprised, as soon as the first screen of end-credits appears, I stop watching.

And yes, I was completely surprised at Trinity's home life.

4. I don't think that would go over well.
For him or for his marriage.

6. I think they'll keep Trinity around for the whole season
b/c Dexter is going to study HOW Trinity balances a 'normal' family life, with his 'other' life. Dexter doesn't know how to juggle it all, and I think he will study Trinity b/c he's been so successful at keeping his 'other' life hidden for over 30 years.

I was sorry to see Lundy go; that was a surprise. I think its interesting that all the guys Deb goes for, she ends up having an emotional issue with. And not in a good way. Its interesting that Dexter doesn't have emotions really, and Deb does, she just doesn't know how to pick the right guy.

yes, last week's episode was great! The writing on this show is superb!

7. I see where Dexter would like to see how Trinity does it but
I think that's against "The Code". Dexter won't want him doing away with any more people. Once he finds out who they are, he gets rid of them. He could try to avert Trinity's killings though. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out this season.

10. Very likely Trinity.
He knew Lundy was on to him when he saw him outside that building where he was planning his next attack. He had to get rid of him to keep from getting caught. Though I do wonder why he didn't grab Lundy's tape recorder after he shot him. I believe he had seen him using it.

12. Dexter thinks it was Trinity.
But it's interesting that we didn't see who the shooter was. We could be in for another big surprise.

anything is possible.

Anton seems like a nice guy, but ...

14. I've only gotten into the show as a whole since noticing that Netflix--
--damn you netflix--had season one and two up on instant (internet) play.

I watched two seasons in three days. Now I torrent the shows.

One thing that bothers me is that the female characters are all written, so I think,
as though they think they know what is going on and really have no clue. Rita, Deb(written as a lovestuck 13 year old boy with a vagina) , and now maddeningly LaGuerta, who should have, would have, known that the dept. would break up her and Det. Sgt. Batista.

C'mon.

16. But Dexter is really nothing like Trinity
Dexter has a moral code and only kills really bad guys. Trinity is just a sick twisted sociopath. I hope Dexter does not feel any connection because there is none.

As for Deb, I've grown to accept her but only because of her foul language. If they hadn't included that in the character, I don't think this actress would be able to make anything believable about her character. I hate to say it but I think she's not a great actress and it's taken me a long time to get past that. I'm glad she was cast in the role though but maybe that's just because now I'm used to her. And like I said, her cussing like a sailor is the only thing that makes her believable to me.

Rita bugs me. Not sure why.

20. After so many years of Six Feet Under, I can't see him with anyone but
Keith.

Even Rita seems not right to me.
