They loved it. Cameron got every Marine joke on the money.

They loved the battle royale at the end too.

Alien is, clearly, the more intelligent of the two pictures. Where as the second film relies on big explosions and cheesy dialogue to satisfy its audience.

Truly, this is a microcosm of the classic debate between intelligent art house pictures versus big budget hollywood blockbusters.
