Poll question: There must be some kind of way out of here, Said the joker to the thief
What is your favorite version of All Along the Watchtower?

Written by Bob Dylan

Dylan's is well, Dylan's. To my mind this was the best Hendrix ever. Richie I love. But my personal favorite is the one most have never heard. Brewer and Shipley nailed this tune with just two acoustic guitars and perfect harmony. Weeds album http://brewerandshipley.com/weeds.html

Dylan - Song writer
Hendrix
Richie Havens
Brewer & Shipley
Neil Young
U2
Dave Matthews Band

I know there are lots of other covers but these are the ones I know.

4. I'd say, overall, I like...
Michael Hedge's version the best, but I'd give the Hendrix cover the nod on just vocals....

Dead Head & Xcellent cover - saw Dylan 'n the Dead when they toured.

16. I think Hendrix is the definitive version...
...Electric Ladyland LP......most requested song on the jukebox at High on Rose tavern in Lexington, KY, late 70s/early 80s.

I know ive heard the Dylan version & think Ive heard the & Ritchie Havens version....not famliary with the others...(Neil Young?)....

One of my favorite songs.

20. I voted for Hendrix but loved Dylan's.
It was great to hear Dylan's version in "American Beauty." That scene with Spacey lifting weights ("wailing on his pecs) while sassing Benning is one of the all time great movie scenes to my mind.
