I forgot my palm pilot in a casino. |
|
Everyone said it was gone for good. Next morning I get to the seminar, there are 800 people. The guy on the stage quiets everybody down and goes "Did some named Swede lose a palm pilot? Come up and get it." I go so stage "who turned it in?' "I don't know, someone just handed it to me." Thank you good samaritan.

1. I'm so glad you got it back! |

When I was in sales long ago, I once left my planner, a.k.a. my brain, at a client's office when I was on the road. I couldn't remember where. But he called and mailed it to me. I know how relieved you felt!

Wow, someone was really a good Samaritan!
And how lucky for you...
When I saw your thread title, my heart sank...
That was a very lucky break!

4. And then everyone laughed at you for losing your palm pilot. Ha ha. |
|
No, seriously there are people who actually do the right thing. The real right thing. Wait, what king of seminar does one go to in a casino? Wait wait, I don't want to know. Ha ha. Sometimes I think I am the only person who does things like that (turn in a lost item, and be sure somehow it gets to the rightful owner.) But once in a while I see others do it. I always try to remain anonymous on it. I don't do it for a thanks, or a reward, or any such thing, but just because it's the right thing to do. The thing everybody should do. dc

7. Palm pilot? That's an electric calender, isn't it? |
|
Why would you need one in a casino? Just wondering.
I left my blender at the library. I left my golf clubs at the bowling alley.
