1. Yes, it was pretty interesting
it looks like Erica & the priest guy are going to be the two main characters - They did a good job in creating the atmosphere of paranoia that they're feeling.

I wonder what is going to happen with Scott Wolf's character, though.

2. This version is a little different from the first V.
I still miss Mark Singer and his tight pants.

I did miss last week's show but I watched it at Hulu.

I find the Visitors creepy, I wouldn't trust them.

6. I loved the original when it was on
26 years ago. Of course, I was 16 at the time and loved Jane Badler...

3. Yes, and I wish it were on more than an hour and more than once a week.

4. Since when are miniseries just one hour long?
What a ripoff!

7. yes, it's going to be a series
not a mini-series. 4 episodes now, then more next year.

8. Maybe they are making sure that the show has a following before spending more money.
The leader of the V's is just creepy, always smiling.

We come in peace, always peace.

9. My verdict is not in yet...
The original had a slower, more solid build-up.

The new version is wham-bam with its "build-up". The old series may have had more cornball acting, but it's ironic that it feels more natural.

Seeing the boy who signs up with the "V's" (I miss "visitors", BTW) with a herpes cold sore on his upper lip was pretty disconcerting... maybe the V's can cure it..

The "V" logo looks wrong too.

Why don't the aliens have the funky fresh reverb?

On the plus side, half the cast of "Firefly" is in it and the series plays itself straight... (apart from obvious in-jokes about being a ripoff of independence day and other sci-fi; it's like the writers know what they're writing is recycled...)

The new Diana/Anna/whatever is sufficiently creepy - Morena is an excellent actress, but I think her talent might be wasted. But I really miss the reverbed voices the original had...

How she manipulates the human journalist also doesn't feel natural. The original miniseries, cornball or otherwise, takes the time to set things up. This new version steamrollers everything. It doesn't gel.

Especially the pilot; it upchucks everything -- though the "they've been here for years" is a twist... (okay, so how did they get into our system decades ago??)

(I saw the pilot and barely any of tonight's but will check hulu next week.)

11. some good points, and speaking of recycled sci-fi stars
like Alan Tudyk & Morena Baccarin from Firefly, Rekha Sharma, who played Tory on Battlestar Galactica, was also in there this week.

And, I think the original V got rid of the reverb for the weekly TV series that came after the 2nd V miniseries.

12. Dammit! I forgot it was on
I have two excuses: there was a hockey game on, and I was drunk off my arse after a party at work. :D

15. We don't get Hulu up here
I'm fairly certain I can find an alternative - as soon as I manage to remember which the heck channel it was on . If a Canadian channel carries US programming, they usually stream it as well.
