Spanish (and Italian) speakers: in need of translation help
Last week I received some help from some German speakers for the same thing; this week, I need some help from Spanish and from Italian speakers. I'm sending some packages to Spain and to Italy, and need to know how to write "Please scan this package" in both Spanish and Italian.

:)

1. "Escanee este paquete, por favor"
Is Spanish, but it's a very contextual language. Are you asking the recipient to scan something with the package? What is the scan thing all about?

Because there's a different word which they might use in Spain as opposed to western hemispshere Spanish, which is what I speak, depending on your ultimate meaning

2. I need the postal clerks to scan the package's barcode

I've had problems with sending international mail and postal people not scanning the packages for tracking.

3. use "Escanee este código de barras"
It's more specific to what you want to accomplish

otherwise, they might think X-raying the package is what you want.
