I dislike the Gods of Irony

My wife and I bought a car today (picking it up Friday) to go with our Ford Focus. We're excited as the dealer had exactly the car we wanted (Which is another odd story. The dealer did not have our desired color and while discussing second options a man came in and traded-in the exact model and color we wanted with less than 9,000 miles on it.) and happily discussing the serendipity of our situation while driving our older car home.

On the ride, which, once again, I must stress was from the auto dealer, a tire went flat and the check engine light came on.

There seems to be a really determined force out there trying to prevent us from becoming a 2 car household...

Then I realized that I wasn't actually amused by the situation.
