Met my GF's two grandsons last night. |
|
One is six, going on fifty. The other is eight, going on ninety. Great kids, highly intelligent, conversing on a level WAY beyond their years. The young one is a zen Lego master who took it upon himself to school me in the theory of artistic Lego construction. The other is a budding comedian and future pool hustler (after I taught him the proper stick technique).
Five seconds after we walked into their house they stuck to me like magnets, and didn't leave my side until I left.
Animals and kids- my greatest curse (as I type this I have two puppies asleep on my lap).
Greatest moment of the evening- while sitting at the table I idly began making my wine glass sing (dip your finger into water and gently run it around the rim of the glass until the vibration sets in). Before you know it everyone at the table was joining in, and we had a whole wine glass musical chorus going! Too funny...
(Note: My wine glass was empty. I don't drink...)

Ah, sweetie, what a wonderful Thanksgiving you had! As did those two boys, I suspect...;-)
As the other poster observed: Kids and pets; they always recognize the good ones...
As you are.
Happy Post-Thanksgiving!

Sounds like an enchanting time spent with special people. Love the wine glass musical choral. I can just imagine a table full of people having so much fun.

1. If she has grandkids, 'GF' (Girl Friend) just doesn't sound right. Maybe it's just me.
2. I love to do the wine glass thing. And as soon as you start, everyone else has to try it. ;-)
