I broke my glasses this afternoon

When I went out to my car, I hit my face with the car door as I was opening it, breaking the right temple of my glasses.

I have a prescription for new glasses, but I can't get it filled because I don't have the money--they will cost me $300 for a new scrip for progressives. My only recourse is to wait till Thursday and buy an eyeglass repair kit, unscrew the temples from my prescription shades and put them on my regular glasses until I can come up with the money to get my second set of eyes.

Is there anything else I can do besides jury-rigging my glasses?

They are really cheap, but take about three weeks to be delivered. I ordered two pair, so if one breaks I have a spare.
