Alabama Public Television |

had one of their fund raisers tonight. The features included Peggy Lee, Andre Rieu, Johnny Cash, and Roy Orbison. I usually try to send these guys some money, but the Bush economy has me flat broke as they say down here. Damn I hate that SOB!
Don't laugh, but the Andre Rieu video from Dublin, Ireland was quite entertaining. I would imagine the 5.1 surround sound DVD would be impressive.
Help out if you can folks. Public Television will be a thing of the past if the Bush cabal of nincompoop neocons stay in power much longer.

1. I've lost interest in PBS... |
|
down here in florida they've ALWAYS got beg-a-thons going on. It's non-stop. It's as if they're regular programming has ceased.
I feel for them--I do. But not too many people really watch pbs. I still don't think it should go away but what would my contribution do for them. Keep them on the air so the begging can continue? I just don't bother.

Haven't seen one in months. Tonight, I visited my 85-year-old mother and heard Peggy Lee singing when I walked in. She always watches the beg-a-thons. She even watched when Fleetwood Mac "The Dance" was on the beg-a-thon a few years ago. She liked Stevie Nix.

3. If PBS were properly funded |
|
They wouldn't need these beg-a-thons. The repugs have been trying to kill off PBS since their beginning. They, PBS, used to be too independent and "controversial" (read factual) for the consecutive taste.
