"Oxygen" is one hell of a page turner!
A very gripping story about a dedicated, hardworking anaethesiologist who loses a patient (a child) in surgery and doesn't know what happened. Her nightmare goes from bad to worse as the hospital backs off from her and administrators she has trusted isolate her. All the while she experiences intense self scrutiny and overwhelming grief. The twist at the end is completely unexpected, something I love to encounter in a book or a movie.

This book is written by a practicing anaesthesiologist and gives an accurate, detailed picture of what goes on in the OR. It has a pretty intense pace andis written in the first person, present tense, an interesting style that really works to heighten the suspense.

I can't tell much more of the plot or I'd ruin the utter surprises in this book. It's a harrowing tale of what can happen when bad things happen to good people...in spades.
