I suspect this is for show. Certainly they have already flown this where no one was around to see it pitching and waffling.

3. My guess is it won't fly..not because it can't but....
Because the ground won't be dry enough. They did a taxi test Saturday morning and as dry as it's been with the cold around here, there was some moisture in the air and they spent an extra 30-40 minutes drying the runway for that test.
So with what we have weatherwise, chance of showers and some showers, my guess is 80/20 at best to NOT fly.
There's a ton of pressure on Boeing to put this puppy in the air before the end of the year so tomorrow could prove to be quite interesting.

5. Is the concern about the dryness of the runway higher for landing than for takeoff?
