I'm jealous...drove an '06 Unlimited for two years, before becoming a poor student again and trading down to a Corolla for the $.
I absolutely loved that Jeep, though. Loved it.

My 50th B'day present. I live in a rural area with lots of hills. Da Jeep has always made it to town regardless the conditions. And HE is a metrosexual. HE has a hard top, bikini tops, half tops, make me look like a little truck accessories. He sports a DemocraticUnderground.com sticker for all to see. He has an inline 6 4.0 liter engine that has purred for 110,000 miles. No major repair bills.
When I can get enough resources together, I plan on buying a 2nd Wrangler and converting to all electric. That will serve me on short trips with HIM taking me on the long hauls.

We had one for about 5 years in the 90s.
They got really expensive lately though...

:hi:
178,500+ miles on it, rusting out, but still chugging along. (That reminds me--I'm gonna need a new muffler pretty soon...) It's getting up there in years and mileage for sure; I'm going to have to part with it within the next couple of years, and I know it's going to be a sad day.

I think I will probably get one for my next vehicle. I'm curious, though. Have you done anything with it yet that a non-Rubicon model couldn't do? Pretty hefty surcharge for the goodies.
