Am I the only person who thought the new trailer for Iron Man 2 kinda sucked? |

http://www.apple.com/trailers/paramount/ironman/The movie shows promise, but the lightening whips or whatever they were on Whiplash looks stupid to me.

1. Movies with multiple villain often suck because they are too busy. |
|
Why do they need whiplash and black widow? Couldn't they have made a complete storyline with just one villain?

On that one. The first two Spider-Man movies were good because they focused on a single villain - Green Goblin and then Doc Ock. The 3rd Spidey had Venom and Sand Man, plus they brought in Hobgoblin for a bit, and was way too busy.

6. Harry actually played the 2nd Green Goblin rather than the Hobgoblin. |
|
The first Hobgoblin was Roderick Kingsley and he was a fashion designer with mafia connections. As far as I remember, the Hobgoblins always had orange costumes while the Green Goblins were always green. They were pretty similar villains considering they used pretty much all the same equipment.
Regarding Spiderman 3 though, you're right on the mark. Far too much going on for them to address it all. And I was dying to see that movie, I'd been wanting to see the symbiote/black Spiderman plot line play out on the big screen for the longest time. When I saw SM3 opening night, it was one of the biggest let downs of my life. I've got a fair amount of confidence that Iron Man 2 is going to be a LOT better. Hopefully Spiderman 4 will be as well. If the rumors suggesting John Malkovich as the Vulture are true, I think it could be kick ass.

saw a post on another website that said it kind of had a Rocky 3 vibe to it (The one with Mr. T)

4. I'll admit I was a bit skeptical of the first one |
|
But I was delightfully surprised with that one. The trailer for this one looks pretty good to me. I just hope the story has as much substance as the first one and doesn't wander off into the "action movie with nothing but action" waste land.

5. I thought it looked pretty awesome. |

But I don't know why they felt the need to make up a villain (Rourke's Whiplash seems nothing like the other Marvel Whiplashes). I think Favreau knows what he's doing, though. Marvel has a crap load of movies I'm excited about coming out in the next few years. I hear that Sam Jackson has a 10 or so picture deal with Marvel Studios, so we should be seeing a lot more of Nick Fury. Then there will also be "Captain America" and "Thor" coming out in the next year or so culminating with the Avengers movie which should be amazing. And maybe they'll start incorporating Spiderman into some of the Avengers related films. I hope they continue to treat the films as part of a universe rather than existing solely for the purposes of the title character. Hopefully Iron Man 2 will kick ass and then they can get to work on Hulk 2 to give that film the sequel it deserves.
