8. Sweet!
I saw BB at a small supper club in Redondo Beach, early 90's. About 2 ft away from the stage. He'll always be my "king of the blues".

9. great choices Snowball---here's two great underrated ( by some) artists, Son Seals and J.B. Hutto
I've been fortunate to have seen literally dozens of blues artists in person over the years. Many of them multiple times ( must've seen Junior Wells and J.B. Hutto about 15 times apiece) One of the most underrated was Son Seals. Hutto was another.

Everybody's got The Blues, just had 'em, or are about to get 'em again. (Buddy King at KAAY in 1983)

13. Oh, yeah....Slim Harpo..."Scratch My Back". One great musician.
Edited on Sun Dec-20-09 07:17 AM by old mark
Slim Harpo played guitar and harmonica, sang his songs and sometimes did it all at once using a tamobrine played with his foot when he played as a one man band.

Try this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vtvL5_6BFd8&NR=1&feature=fvwp

He also did a few songs made famous by the Rolling Stones, "King Bee" and "Shake your Hips", here:

King Bee: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26VCVItGMIo&NR=1

Shake Your Hips: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2J9hz2Kw8kA&feature=related

Enjoy.

Added: I played in a band that once opened for B.B. King...I'm certain he doesn't remember me, though.
