It finally feels like spring in my soul
I was getting dressed for work this morning and was picking out something to wear when I came to a stunning realization about my wardrobe. After over a decade long winter of essentially wearing nothing but black it is spring in my closet.

Many of you know about my 2 year long weight-loss oddysey. It has required significant shopping to keep up with my body. I've been shopping again recently (got into size M shirts) and there's more lilac and peach and even pink in my closet today than there ever has been before in my life.

When did I become a lilac and peach and pink person? :)

If the external reflects the internal then I have changed in a way that I'm not quite sure I understand yet. I know I'm happier than I've been in as long as I can remember. Every day takes me a little further from the mistakes and unhappiness of the past.

There's still a lot I'm unsure about but maybe I've finally turned the corner and I just wanted to share and to thank the people on DU who have been so good to me over the last few months. *smooches*

4. I know...it stunned me too
I adamantly refused to wear "girly" colors when I was a little girl. I don't feel any more girly than I ever did. Just happier.

5. color is good
harbinger of spring in whatever form

I too have to wean all the black from my closet and move those jewel tones and a few pastels into position. Purple and green are especially
good for spring. Matches the croci and other spring flowers.

6. I guess why it's weird for me...
is that it isn't something I normally have done in the past for spring. I wore black year round because I was just the kind of person who always wore black.

7. yeah me too to some extent
I never totally grew out of the punk, black- clothes- college- hipster thing. Plus I look good in it, so... How about black boots? - I have a closet full of those too....

if "the girls" get any more "enhanced" I'll have to carry them around in a wheelbarrow. ;)
