The very best part of "It's Complicated" (NO spoilers here) |
|
was that they let Meryl Streep be natural. No artifice, nothing to make her face "perfect," her hair wasn't coiffed and it often looked a little disheveled, just like any woman's hair.
And she looked great.
It was a really good movie. I highly recommend it.
Oh - Alec Baldwin was good too, and so was the guy who played his daughter's fiancé. And so was Steve Martin.

1. loved her house and a garden to die for. |

Martin character was designing 'the kitchen of her dreams'. The kitchen she had already was pretty darn awesome, IMO. Good movie - loved the future son in law, in particular.

But I'm glad to see Steve Martin finally appearing in a proper movie.

5. But it doesn't address the oppressed masses who do not live in luxury! |
|
:sarcasm:
Sorry... callback to a thread reviling the film because it only dealt with the superficial romantic concerns of the wealthy, instead of being a "Grapes of Wrath" for the new millennium or something.

6. And was it touted as a "Grapes of Wrath" for the new millennium? |
|
No? Well, then, they should stop whining.
:eyes:
If one doesn't want to see a movie whose characters are well-off, one can just walk out of the theater.
