Fascinating look at Netflix rental trends around the country
The NY Times has an interactive feature about this, and when I look at Minneapolis, what I see is an almost complete disconnect between the choices of suburban and urban audiences.

How does your area stack up?

3. Seattle full of leftist Trekkies who compulsively rent DVDs to stave off
the effects of seasonal affective disorder and caffeine hangovers?

Sounds about right. ;-)

Seriously? That's the most rented film nationwide? I mean, it was okay but, well, whatever.

5. It is interesting.
Probably reflects the demographics of Netflix customers in the various neighborhoods. My neighbors seem to have rented "Milk" the most. This town is awesome!

6. On my Netflix page they give the favorites for my city, La Crosse, WI:
1. Flirting with Forty

2. Jim Gaffigan: King Baby

3. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

4. The Real Dirt on Farmer John

5. Grey's Anatomy: Season 5

6. Black Snake Moan

7. Princess Protection Program

8. Sweet Land

9. Happy Feet

10.The Ultimate Gift

 I haven't seen any of those.

I've had great luck with Netflix here getting whatever I choose. They are mailed from my city so at 1 out at a time I can get as many as 3 a week.

7. They chose "the Soloist" but look at the rentals for "Milk. "
The U area and downtown (55414 etc.)it was 1 or thereabouts and in the suburbs wasn't there at all.
