It's either the psycho Russian blue won't let the big tom to the food, or the white queen can't get to the favaourite spot on top of the water heater or the tuxedo can't get to his perch on the crate of chicken noodle soup.

Everybody else seems to have settled into place.
I don't get it. They go downstairs, they have a big fight then everybody ends up in exactly the same place they were last night and every other night.

. Our drummer used to have several huge fishtanks filled with BRIGHTLY colored African cychlids(?). He told us that if he introduced a new fish to the tank, it would have to fight ALL the other fish to determine its place in their fishy hierarchy, and maybe die from the effort, but if he rearranged all the rocks and pirate ships and deep sea diver figures first (to throw their world into chaos), they would all fight each other and the new fish would almost certainly survive. . We used to go up to his room after rehearsals in his basement and turn off all the lights and watch the fish. It was a total zen moment and like looking at several LIVE kaleidoscopes. Tabless trips. Excellent way to come down from the intensity of our efforts downstairs. .

I can relate, having been to many band practices that required zoning out.

5. Cichlids are some of my favorite fishes. |

They certainly have personality, and I'm probably just crazy but I could swear they had expressive faces even. Love those things... very fighty but also very beautiful.
