'Jersey Shore' House -- Sloppy 2nds Ain't Cheap

Posted Feb 4th 2010 6:10AM by TMZ Staff

Another member of the "Jersey Shore" juggernaut is finally cashing in on the fame -- the guy who owns the crew's infamous party house claims he's making 3x the cash from wannaGuidos looking to rent the place out.

TMZ spoke with the owner of the 3,200 square foot house who tells us ever since the show aired, demand to rent the place went through the roof.

The 6 bedroom, 3 bathroom house is currently going for $3,500 per night until May ... after that, it skyrockets up to $6,500 per night.

According to the owner, the legendary duck phone is still in the house -- as well as most of the couches, beds, tables and artwork that you saw on the show.

FYI -- the owner did mention that the home received a thorough cleaning after Snooki, The Situation and the rest of the gang moved out.

3. MTV ran the story, but they quoted TMZ:

Newsday ran a story as well, quoting the price @ $15,000 per week, without referencing the TMZ story:

MTV's 'Jersey Shore' home owners up asking rental price

MTV’s “Jersey Shore” may be a boost to the real estate market, at least in Seaside Heights. The owners of the five-bedroom, four-bathroom, 2,400-square-foot house — with its rooftop hot tub and New Jersey Italian flag mural — just decided to offer the place for rent for $15,000 a week this summer.

Last summer, MTV rented the house for $85,000 while taping the weekly reality show about eight self-described metro-area “guidos” and “guidettes” (including Long Island’s own Jenni “J-WOWW” Farley) — that amounts to a little more than $10,000 a week. Comparably sized but more modern homes in the community have been renting for about $8,000 to $10,000 a week, says listing agent Mike Loundy of Seaside Realty, who brokered the MTV real estate deal.

Will the owners get their price? Surely the publicity from the hugely popular show can’t hurt — some even getting the perfect vantage point from the ferris wheel to snap shots of the 2,000-square-foot hot tub area on the attached Shore Store’s boardwalk rooftop. “It’s been a very active property,” Loundy says. “There are tons of kids coming by every day taking pictures.”

It’s such a popular destination within the tourist town that there are now “no trespassing” signs in front of the house, says Seaside Heights agent Justin Bosak of ReMax Real Estate LTD.
