Tried Codeine for the first time...
Had to limit myself to about 30 mgs because all I had were generic Tylenol 1 clones and I figured 1.2 g of acetaminophen was plenty...It feels kinda nice...Reminds me of taking neo-citran mixed with a little marijuana buzz. First time I ever took an opiate by choice rather than some doctor deciding it would do me good after a head injury years ago.

1. yeah, you definitely
do not want too much acetaminophen in ya. 1.2 grams should be fine though. there is a cold water extraction method to remove the acetaminophen from opiate/tylenol meds so you don't get too much tylenol in your system. i'd say more or link to it, but i don't want to get this post deleted. IMO the acetaminophen is at least as dangerous as the opiate, probably more so cause most of the time you'll puke if you take too much of that - can't say the same about tylenol. codine is indeed a nice mellow feeling. beware addiction though. ;) :hippie:

*note to mods - this is not medical advice, just facts about the possible dangers of acetaminophen toxicity.

2. After major surgery, I was on Tylenol with Codeine for quite awhile...

I was still in pain, so my doctor changed the prescription to Codeine alone. He said he wasn't worried about the Codeine, but of the long term effects of Tylenol on the liver. :-(

on edit: And, yes, I did eventually become addicted to the Codeine. I took it because I was in pain, but I was aware that I was addicted, would get twitchy and sweaty if I didn't have some. However, I did have another surgery which cured me, so didn't need the Codeine anymore. :-)
