So far this winter I've survived 3 blizzards dealing with about 5 feet of snow total. Let's somewhere other than the mid-atlantic states deal with this crap!

3. So far, this slack-jawed yokel has dealt with about a foot of snow in NW Arkansas.
I lived through the Blizzard of 79 in Maryland and know about snow. I also spent two years in northern NY and didn't see green for months on end.

Never had a problem driving it snow and now with my 4-wheel drive truck, I can go where I please, when I please.

I just gotta look out for all those amateur snow-drivers.

Lots of rain, cloudy skys, and cool to cold weather.

I can't remember the last time I wore a pair of shorts.

It has be sweatpants and jacket weather here.

10. MD never seceded
though there was some Confederate sentiment there; in one battle, the 1st Maryland Regiment, U.S.A. fought the 1st Maryland Regiment, C.S.A.!

This would also explain why it is so damn difficult to get a decent plate of grits in MD. :-)

Let me give you my phone number, if you have an issue just call. I'm calling St. Francis to see if they have monthly parking rates.

12. We're still snowless here in the deep, deep, deep South of South Florida.
To hear the media reports down here, everything north of Orlando has been encased in ice, like those mammoths they occasionally unearth in glaciers.

Of course, you couldn't really be referring to South Florida, because there's a distinct absence of slack-jawed yokels here. Like I always say, the further north you go in Florida, the more south you get. :)

Edited on Fri Feb-12-10 05:38 PM by LynneSin
We thank the folks of Virginia & North Carolina for that wonderful distinction.

Their asses hang out so far into the Atlantic they usually block whatever is coming towards us.

Us displaced northerners and midwesterners who have to live here have to put up with the yokels. And, most of them have no fucking clue as to how to deal with the stuff. Everything gets shut down over an inch of snow here. It's nuts.

170,000 people who are without electricity, most likely all weekend, with outside temps still in the 30's and the large number of apartment dwellers who had their cars crushed when the carport roofs collapsed from the weight of the snow who may not want that crap.

Here's wishing you 110 degree temps this summer for a month straight, then we can have our turn at "have some of our crap"
