God help me, I want desperately to buy things. |
|
A few days ago, I ordered Mrs. V.'s birthday present to me, a new bag. It's a traveler's day pack but it will serve my needs nicely.
Now Mrs. V. is out of town, I'm bored, my tax refund (whose intended use is to pay bills) is burning a hole in my pocket.
Tell me things that will keep me from a materialistic frenzy.

I know EXACTLY how you feel - mine got deposited on Friday and I have so many projects and things I want to do, but both vehicles have insurance payments due and the freezer is getting pretty bare. I want to buy screen and fencing and garden supplies, but I had to be happy with getting a part for my oven (and then get religion hoping it is the part I need and I will finally have a working oven again, rather than having to try another different part)
I splurged an bought stars here and even bought somebody a star as I was planning to do that for a friend anyway, but somebody beat me to that one. I'm glad my tax money didn't come earlier - I might have spent WAY too much on hearts

3. if you put an extra 200 a month towards one bill till it is paid off |
|
then add that plus the amount you normally paid on that bill to the next bill and so on, you can pay off a lot of things early!

4. I recently heard of this concept -- |
|
it's a good one!
I'm also looking forward to having our Corolla paid off in one year. Can use that amount toward paying off more debt. :)

I need a good ass-kicking, and I can't think of anyone I'd rather have do it. :)
