2. From his narrative POV, yes |
|
But they never went for the first-person camera POV, a la Terminator or Robocop.

4. I wonder if they'd have been as accepting of a decreasingly hourglassy Counselor Troi? |

Since her job was to just sit there most of the time. I am glad that Jelicho finally asked her why she never wears a standard uniform!
Riker should know better though. You don't get to be fat until you make Admiral!

11. Or if you're William Shatner*... |
|
or James Doohan...
* yes, I know he was an Admiral bumped down to Captain, but he bulked up as Captain #2 - it must have been the depression, it's too bad he was allergic to Seritonix 5.

And the first one was part of a two-episode arc, the latter (stupid) episode of which didn't even mention Data's dreams.

9. best decision: no lyrics for the TOS theme song |
|
Supposedly Roddenberry only wrote the lyrics after the fact to get royalties for the song in addition to the composer (bit of a douchey move), but my word it would have been horrible if they actually recorded it that way.

And Riker showed up wearing just a kilt.
That was awesome.

17. Best decision - having Wesley get bayoneted through the chest |
|
Which, sadly, was shortly nullified by the worst decision...

18. In a real Mary Sue moment, that puts him on more or less equal footing with Picard |
|
Since the good Cap'n took one through the chest during his academy days (recounted in an episode that also featured Q. Hmm...)
