Last night 20 something year old Toonsie Mooner Mow stated to have blood behind her right eye, seemed disoriented and weak. She yowled a couple of times today so we made an emergency trip to the vet. I made the decision to have her put down so she wouldn't suffer. My son went with me and we both cried our eyes out. We've had this kitty since he was 5. I'm very sad.
I have to teach a class tonight so I won't be around to respond to your replies right away but I'll check in, tonight after work.
Thanks fellow cat lovers.
Lib.

Major vibes to you, sweetie!
Your kittie had a very good life, thanks to you...
You did the right thing, for sure...
20 years is very good innings!
I hope your great memories will sustain you in this time of sudden, unanticipated loss...
Safe passage to her...

She came up to our house as a baby kitten and used to sleep by the frig because the motor blew warm air out of the grill.

1988 as her birthday but I'm not a 100% if she was really 22 so I'm saying 20. She looked good for her age.

My son has been really sweet. He's not very demonstrative but he have me a big hug when we got home yesterday, and he's been checking in with me quite often to see how I'm doing.

just get worse and worse until there was nothing left. She was never a very big cat and she was down to 5 lbs when they weighed her. The bleeding behind her eye could have been high blood pressure or a tumor. I think it was a stroke.

I feel pretty low today. I took her blanket off my bed, threw out the cat box and took away the cat dishes from the bathroom. She didn't like the other cats so I kept her separated in my room, with me. She was my special exclusive meow meow.

I know you are a pet lover. I usually reply to threads about pet losses by suggesting that they might become a spirit animal companion. Well, it seems like a rather empty promise, now. You can't hold and pet that.

She was a such a perfect, dainty, little solid black kitty. Just the right amount of affection with out being demanding or overbearing. Tough little thing. She never did learn to sheath her sharp needle like claws when we'd play fight. I had to wear my black leather driving gloves to play with her.

She had one white whisker on her solid black body. She never got gray, she never got fat, she jumped up on my bed which is at least 3 and 1/2 feet off the ground until a few months ago when she started climbing up it like a tree by using the bedspread. I didn't even realize she'd gone blind until, my son took her into his room and she could find her way back to my room down the hall. She was a special person.

The longer they are here, the harder it is when they go. But, the fact that our kitty was over 20 years old is a testament to the good care you gave her. Hugs.
