1. Fantastic--just got turned on to this band about a year ago.

Her voice reminds me, just a little, of Katie Webster. (which is meant as a compliment to both of them)

The band is top notch and the singer is the real deal!

I'm not big on the whole 'low-fi revival' thing, but talent shines through even the murkiest mix.

5. The Dap Kings backed Amy Winehouse, and...

they're really what gave me the "Rehab" earworm.

So, when I heard them interviewed and asked about Winehouse and they said "She's OK, but Sharon Jones is Da Bomb" I hadda check this out.

Sharon Jones IS da bomb.
